I am a student!

When I came home from visiting relatives in England. I found a big box waiting for me. My course materials had arrived.

Ahhh.... the joy of receiving parcels! One of the things I was curious about was what the course materials would look like. I couldn't find much information about that on the OCA website, accept that it was printed material and not downloadable. And although I am a bit of a computer nerd, I am happy about that. I would have ended up printing all of it out anyway.

So what's in the box?
Well there is a hefty binder, with all the course materials, a folder with some documents and a student card, a number of brochures a mailing bag, a complimentary notebook and pen.
It's all looking very professional.
So I am officially a student now!

Biggest benefit so far....I will get a 10% discount in my favorite art supply shop!!!

Decisions, decisions.....finally made one!

I've been thinking about taking a course in Textiles for such a long time.

If I had to stick any label on myself then I would have to say that I am a cloth doll maker (check out my other blog), but that too would be to limiting. So I have been tossing and turning between the various courses on offer and finally decided to take the OCA course Textiles 1: A creative approach.

I am hoping that this course will focus on the design element of textiles, without being limited to one specific genre.
